81. What if Fair Elise got really frustrated with Alabaster Zero and teleported him to What Is World?

When a stray spell from a frustrated fairy flings Alabaster into the real world, he’ll have to finally take responsibility for his own actions! Will he learn to take his job seriously, or will he be stuck at Mr. Eric’s house forever?

When a stray spell from a frustrated fairy flings Alabaster into the real world, he'll have to finally take responsibility for his own actions! Will he learn to take his job seriously, or will he be stuck at Mr. Eric's house forever?

Lessons include: thinking you’re good at something isn’t enough, you have to keep working hard in order to improve; when your goofy antics bother your friends, it’s time to give them a rest

What If World will be performing live at  Children’s Book World in Santa Monica on June 30th! If you live locally, come check it out.

80. What if cows could make money from mooing?

What If World has its first crush! Well, its moon does anyway. Get ready to meet the Moon Cow Crooners and hear Mr. Eric’s first quasi-Australian accent. Just remember, What If World’s accents are all just a little bit different from What Is World’s ;)

Lessons include: we should own up to our mistakes rather than make silly excuses; picking on someone is not a good way to show you care

Professor Mooshpants and Dr. Nozetal are some of What If World’s maddest scientists. They also happen to be among the youngest. Can the brilliant baby and precocious puppy work together to free themselves from a maximum security day care? Or will they have to wait until their parents pick them up?!

Lessons include: time flies when you stay engaged and challenged; good friends try out each other’s favorite things and grow in the process!

77. What if parents went to school and kids went to work? (with Rhea Pechter)

Mr. Eric teams up with Rhea Pechter of Little Stories for Tiny People this week. Fair Elise and Pixacato are fed up with work and school, respectively. Good thing it’s Freaky Friday! Can Fair Elise survive a day in ballet school? Can Pixacato solve the mystery of the missing robot brains? Did Alabaster Zero also get Freaky Friday’d, or does the grizzled cop just really love ballet?

Lessons include: both work and school take a special kind of endurance, we should respect each other’s efforts; parents will always look out for you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look out for them, too!

76. What if cheetahs could jump the sky?

Chentle is the fastest of all the cheetahs, but she also wants to be the best climber of all the ninjas and the best flyer of all the rocket ship houses. Can she be the best at everything, and will she be happy when she leaves everyone else in her dust?

Lessons include: being more talented or privileged than others doesn’t make you better than them; no individual, no matter how exceptional, is better than a community of well-rounded people.

75. What if leaves called big armies and the zombie apocalypse happened?

When Dracomax doesn’t get his rest, his dragon breath goes haywire. Will he take a nap and have some soup, or will What If World end again?

74. What if there was no moon? (with Tumble Science Podcast)

Lessons include: if you don’t understand the world around you, it’s harder to affect positive change; being rude to get your way will always have negative consequences.

In case you missed it, we now have a P.O. Box! Mr. Eric will be happy to share your letters and drawings online (excluding personal information, of course) or use them to inspire his next story!

73. What if Mr. Eric answered the longest question ever?

Our Earth Day special is tying up some loose ends from our April Fool’s special, where the sun got stolen! Too bad all of What If World is SOLAR POWERED… but maybe that’s the least of their troubles. Can Petrina, Abacus, JFKat, and Mr. Mouser get the sun back from the clutches of the not-so-dreaded Phoenix Taco?!

Lessons include: renewable energy is plentiful enough to power a whole world; if you have a caring elder or grandparent in your life, they are deserving of your respect and gratitude.
