What If World

a story podcast for kids

What If World is a storytelling podcast for kids. Each week, Mr. Eric takes a "what if?" question from a friend and spins it into a story just for you!

77 - What if parents went to school and kids went to work and my doll Rosa came alive and danced with Fair Elise?

Mr. Eric teams up with Rhea Pechter of Little Stories for Tiny People this week. Fair Elise and Pixacato are fed up with work and school, respectively. Good thing it’s Freaky Friday! Can Fair Elise survive a day in ballet school? Can Pixacato solve the mystery of the missing robot brains? Did Alabaster Zero also get Freaky Friday’d, or does the grizzled cop just really love ballet?

Lessons include: both work and school take a special kind of endurance, we should respect each other’s efforts; parents will always look out for you, but that doesn’t mean you can’t look out for them, too!

Our Art Contest Ends June 15th

At least one work will be chosen to inspire a What If Story at the end of June. With parent’s permission, contestants will have their artwork featured in What if World’s Conversatorium, a private Facebook group for fans of the show. Of course, we’ll share first names only. Send a scan or photo of your child’s artwork to whatifworldpodcast@gmail.com or mail it straight to us:

68 - What if giants could turn into fairies and fairies could turn into giants?

Improv comedian Sydney Hollis joins Mr. Eric for a 100% improvised story. Let’s take a trip to Wentbridge Academy and see if we can’t bust some giant myths! And after you’ve enjoyed the story, step up your fashion game with Sydney’s unforgettable Straw Couture line ;)

Lessons include: Giants don’t have to be manly and fairies don’t have to be feminine, we should all enjoy and accept each other and try new activities together!

59 - What if babysitters sat on babies?

Do you remember your first time having a babysitter? Did you wonder what it was going to be like? Zizi, Fair Elise, and Lola the Rabbit let their imaginations get away with them as they try to figure out the mystery.

Lessons include: Our fears are often far worse than the reality, talking out your fears with friends is a healthy exercise.

34 - What if I could jump through my tv and jump into minecraft world?

When Pixiecato gets her very first video game, her parents forget to buy her a console to play it on! The young fairy uses her magic to jump into an unfamiliar world, but will she ever be able to jump back out?

Lessons include: try not to get stuck on your screen, make sure to spend quality time with your friends and family, learning a new skill takes patience and curiosity

24 - What if there was a summer camp in the clouds?

Welcome to The Sky’s the Limit, a summer camp in the clouds. Pixicato is dreading her first sleepaway camp, while Lola the Rabbit has saved her pennies all year in order to get here. Will they be able to find enough common ground to get along? Can Camp Counselor Curt Cumulus keep cloud crowd control? Quite the conundrum!
