What If World

a story podcast for kids

What If World is a storytelling podcast for kids. Each week, Mr. Eric takes a "what if?" question from a friend and spins it into a story just for you!

73 - What if Mr. Eric answered the longest question ever?

Our Earth Day special is tying up some loose ends from our April Fool’s special, where the sun got stolen! Too bad all of What If World is SOLAR POWERED… but maybe that’s the least of their troubles. Can Petrina, Abacus, JFKat, and Mr. Mouser get the sun back from the clutches of the not-so-dreaded Phoenix Taco?!

Lessons include: renewable energy is plentiful enough to power a whole world; if you have a caring elder or grandparent in your life, they are deserving of your respect and gratitude.

And check out more Earth Day episodes from these kid-friendly podcasts: Cool Facts About Animals, Ear Snacks, Little Stories for Tiny People, and Tumble Science Podcast!

In case you missed it, we now have a P.O. Box! Mr. Eric will be happy to share your letters and drawings online (excluding personal information, of course) or use them to inspire his next story!

72 - What if jellybeans worked at a grocery store (plus talking cats)?

Meet Mr. Bean and his daughter Julie Bean, who run a little grocery store that brings out the silly in people. But when Jesus Ironhands the Fire Lion (a character invented by listener Teddy) brings his own brand of “humor” to the store, things start to heat up!

Lessons include: humor should feel like a friendly trick, not a personal attack; if you don’t know how to joke with a new friend, joking about yourself first can help break the ice.

Finally, we have a P.O. Box!!! Mr. Eric will be happy to share your letters and drawings online (excluding personal information, of course) or use them to inspire his next story!

61 - What if Abacus and JFKat drank a potion at the same time and switched minds?

Two of your favorite characters team up this week… or at least they would if they could learn to get along. After a classic magic milkshake mix-up, the kitty president and hapless wizard will have to learn to listen if they ever want to change back.

Lessons include: you shouldn’t have to mistreat one friend in order to make another happy, good listening doesn’t mean tuning the rest of the world out.

41 - What if I had a carnival at my house (and Sniff, Stevie, Dracomax, & JFKcat made friends and helped save the world from Cthunkle)?

Cthunkle is back and trying to invade the real world via a carnival at Drew’s house. But can a What If World story even happen on What IS World? Find out for yourself!
